Training on civil registration system for accredited social health activists (ASHAs) was organized by directorate of economic and statistic at CMO office here Friday.
Speaking at the training programme, DC deputy commissioner (DC) Tuensang, T. Mhabemo Yanthan emphasized on the need and importance of “statistics and civil registration system” and urged the people to provide correct information on birth and death registration.
DC Tuensang also deliberated on various responsibilities of the notifiers (ASHAs) in the implementation of civil registration system.
Lauding the role of ASHAs in the district, he urged them to carry out their work effectively and efficiently. Introductory speech was delivered by assistant economic and statistic Nisato Puro while power point presentation on civil registration system was given by statistical officer Nyushoto (Esho) Nyuthe.
The training programme was chaired by district statistical officer Tuensang, R. Thsanso Yim and NRHM Tuensang DPM Chongshen Chang delivered welcome address. Putusola DCM NRHM proposed vote of thanks. The training programme was attended by the ASHAs from Noksen, Chare, Longkhim and Tuensang Sadar.
