
Kohima Sumi Officers Kuqhakulu (KSOK) general conference was held Friday at Hotel Japfu, Kohima.
Exhorting the gathering, commissioner and secretary, tourism and Art and culture and president Sumi Officers Union Nagaland (SOUN) Himato Zhimomi stressed on the importance of two Ws, which according to him was Worship and Work.
He reminded the members that that as much as they worship they should also work hard with sincerity for development and betterment of individual and society.
The conference started with invocation prayer by Kitoshi Kiba, associate Pastor (W), SBCK and was chaired by Er. Kughaho Sema, president, KSOK who also delivered the welcome address.
General secretary’s report for the session 2011-1014 of KSOK was given by G. Ikuto Zhimomi which was followed by felicitation of retired members and dignitaries by Vice President Tokheni Awomi.
Names of the new KSOK office bearers for the session 2014-2016 were nominated by commissioner transport and convener, nomination committee Hosheto Achumi while Rev. Kiyeto, Pastor, SABAK blessed the new team of office bearers with a word of prayer, followed by special number by Living Witness, SBCK.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Er. Hozheto Shikhu, treasurer, KSOK and prayer for the outgoing office bearers and benediction was pronounced by Rev. Kiyezhe, Pastor, NCRC (Sumi), Kohima.
Meanwhile, the new team will be led by Shiwoto Wotsa, senior SP, vigilance as president, Lovitoly Awomi, assistant professor, MOCK as vice president, Er. Kasho Chishi, EE, Power as general secretary, Hutovi Sema, assitant director, industries & commerce and joint secretary along with two advisors and 12 PROs.
