Even after an assured given by the R&B minister on re-servicing the Dhobinala to Thahekhu village, Signal Angami and Rangaphar road, maintenance work by the government was yet to begin. Notwithstanding the assurance, Thahekhu Village and Signal Angami Line Auto Drivers’ Welfare (TV/SA-LADW) once gain conducted social work to give a face-lift to the deplorable road stretch.
The auto drivers conducted its second phase of filling of the pot-holes with sand gravels beginning Thahekhu gate to Signal Angami junction Friday. The improvement of road work was carried out with the help and contribution by MLA S.I. Jamir who contributed 30 truckloads of sand gravels.
It may be mention here that Road & Bridges (R&B) minister Kuzholuzo (Azo) Neinu has assured to taking up repair and renovation works along Dhobinala-Signal-Thahekhu-Rangapahar road after the JAC formed by GBs and chairmen of 13 villages and colonies of the area who has apprised the minister on the deplorable condition of the road.
JAC convener K.K. Yepthomi during the social work said “how long the public will suffer”? “We expect and hope from the government for the road repair and maintenance as assured by the minister”, he said. Yepthomi also requested the minister to take up the matter at the earliest as assured.
Meanwhile JAC has expressed gratitude to the members of TV/SA-LADW, public of the colonies and villages for supporting the drivers to improve the road condition.
