Team Metamorphosis has inaugurated its office on July 12 with the Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Vyasan R, as the chief guest.
In a keynote address, the organization chief Thungdemo Kyong said, “Team Metamorphosis started ten years ago with a simple and honest dream to serve and make society better through their humble contributions and efforts. He has appreciated the team members for their selfless contribution which had enable them to come thus far.
He has also reaffirmed to continue to serve without compromise, advocating dignity of life and labor, doing the right thing at the right time and having the right attitude. He believed that the organization would serve as a resource centre not only for TM but also for others as well. He said the team would always be available to render service if anyone requires their cooperation at any time for the uplift of the society.
Chief guest, in his speech, said he first came to know about the Team when he was working as the then SDO Civil.
“The word Metamorphosis literally meaning change in biological term where a pupa is being transformed into a butterfly, I hope and believe that the impact of Team Metamorphosis will not only be in Wokha but also will be in different parts of the district so that the team members are able to sacrifice and find time to work for the uplift of the society in spite of the fact that they all are from different professions,” the chief guest said.
Yiben Humtsoe convener of the Kyong Youth Initiative, a Wokha based advocacy organization, said the two organizations have together on several occasions for the benefit of the society. He has lauded the Team for enabling to set up its office.
Pastor Khonbemo P Kikon, an associate Pastor of WTBC, read a passage from the scripture and dedicated the office with a prayer after which the chief guest opened the office.
WDCCI president Zuben S Ngullie, Associate Youth Director of WTBC Chumben Murry and others attended the function. The meeting was chaired by Miss. Ajanbeni Kikon, secretary of Women Affairs Team Metamorphosis, and the vote of thanks was pronounced by Thungchibemo Lotha, Deputy Chief of Team Metamorphosis.
