Ceremonial attestation parade of 52nd batch NAP/IR/NHG recruits was held at NAP training centre sports stadium, Chumukedima here Monday with director general of police (DGP) Nagaland, Besesayo Kezo as chief guest.
Speaking at ceremony, DGP Besesayo Kezo told the newly 571 new recruit Havildars and Constables that if they were deployed outside the state their priority should be to protect society from anti social elements.
Pointing out that many of the units that were deployed outside the state brought laurels and honour to Nagaland police, Naga people and also government to Nagaland, DGP further said units working in West Bengal and Delhi have earned appreciation and respect for the people of Nagaland. 
DIG impressed upon the personnel the hard realities of life that they would face while carrying out their duties. State police chief also advised them not to misuse the power given by the law, but to be mindful of their duties towards the public.
Further, he told the recruits “when you go home, families would notice a different personality” and if they notice the changes then it was all because of the training that was provided.
Admitting that prospects for promotion in the entire department of Nagaland were not very bright, he however, said in police department one could be noticed through their hard work, sincerity, honesty and committed to job.
Therefore, DGP called upon the recruits not to remain constables or halvidars in coming twenty years.
Kezo urged the recruits to do their service with devotion so one could retire with satisfaction.
Briefing report on the training, NAPTC commandant said havildars and constables were trained in weapons handling, rifle firing, LMG firing, drill etc.
Among the trainees, one was post graduate, twenty three graduates, 50 pre-university passed, 118 matriculate and 379 under matriculate. Earlier, ten trainees were awarded in various disciplines by the chief guest.
