A total of sixteen teachers from various schools, both government and private schools under Kohima district, received the prestigious Kohima District Teachers’ Award-2014 September 19 at a post-event Teachers’ Day ceremony organised by the district education officer (DEO), Kohima.
In a press release, DEO Kohima Ruovihulie Angami stated that “this unusual post-event ceremony lately being practiced in respect of Kohima district has been due to the necessitated circumstances of celebrating the joint State Level Teachers’ Day programme on September 5.”
Meanwhile, DEO Kohima has informed that that winner of the Nagaland State Science Seminar-2014, Vitso-ü Tsürho of class IX, Mezhür Higher Secondary School, Kohima, would be representing the state in the National Science Seminar-2014 scheduled to be held on October 11 at Visvesvaraya Industrial and Technological Museum, Kasturba Road, Bangalore.
