The deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur has stated that one lady, Poe Pee, was issued indigenous and schedule tribe certificate from Dimapur district basing on the verification report of the concerned village GB. However, on thorough verification, it was found that she was wrongly given her village as Lepuri village under Phek district, whereas she was found to be hailing from a village on the Burmese side.
Therefore, DC said since she was not a Naga from Nagaland her certificate has been cancelled.
