Capt Kanchan takes over command of SSP

Captain (IN) Kanchan Mukherjee has taken over the Command of Sainik School Punglwa on July 28. The officer was commissioned into the Indian Navy on February 13, 1989, and has held appointments in all the premier training establishments of Indian Navy including deputation as Headmaster at Sainik School Nagrota, Jammu. 
Captain (IN) Kanchan Mukherjee is a qualified Lead Auditor for ISO Certification and a recipient of Ocean Conservancy Certificate in acknowledgement of dedicated service to the coastal cleanup and commitment to the marine environment of Chilka Lake, Odisha in 2003. As manager of Indian Navy Boxing team, he guided Indian Navy to lift the Inter Services Boxing Championship in 2006 at Bengaluru. In recognition to his meritorious service, the officer has been commended by the chief of Naval Staff in 2005 and 2009 and Flag Officer Commanding –in -Chief Southern Naval Command in 1996.
