Police advisory against fraudsters

Office of the Inspector General of Police (crime branch) has issued advisory cautioning the public against fraudsters posing as bank officials to cheat them. The PHQ advisory said fraudsters were deceiving the public and calling ATM card holders identifying themselves as ATM managers and asking the card holders to part with their ATM Card details and PIN numbers on the pretext that the cards had been de-activated. All had been advised not to disclose or reveal their ATM Card details and PIN numbers to any person on the phone.
