State Bank of India (SBI), Kiphire branch organized financial literacy camp August 13 at Kisetong and Old Risethsi, Kiphire in co-llaboration with NSRLM, Kiphire.
Resource person of the camp included Satyajeet Mazumdar, one official from NSTCB and NSRLM area coordinator Risipe as interpreter.
The resource persons shared the importance and benefits of opening saving bank account, different types of deposits, types of loan its advantages and disadvantages of availing loan.
Besides, the bankers also stressed on improvement and healthy practice of repayment on time as defined in five principles for SHGs by NSRLM with constant supervision by the staffs. The camp concluded successfully with the positive response from the village stakeholders and SHGs from both the villages. The two village councils have expressed gratitude to the organizing team in letting the community understand and aware of the bank benefits.
