DABA youth ministry ‘Touch Dimapur’ project

Dimapur Ao Baptist Church (DABA) youth ministry has initiated a “Touch Dimapur” project, in which youth volunteers carried out social work across Dimapur town.  The volunteers whitewashed Dimapur flyover, cleaned traffic points, distributed traffic cones and signs, put up banners with anti-corruption messages, kept dustbins in certain areas, etc.
Spearheaded by senior youths of DABA, the “Touch Dimapur” project was undertaken from August 14-20. This project witnessed the participation of more 150 youth volunteers.
DABA youth director Toshi Longkumer and associate youth director Jongshimanen have appealed to all to be responsible enough to take good care of all the properties. They said “Touch Dimapur” was not just about a particular Church or tribe but was “a contextual ministry”, adding that it was the responsibility of every individual.
Meanwhile, the DABA youth director Toshi Longkumer said whenever Dimapur needed attention on specific issues, the volunteers would be implementing such projects.
