NNC on LoC proposal

Naga National Council (NNC) led by its president Temjenyanger Aier, vice president Benry Yanthan and general secretary Dr. Amento Chishi have clarified that Nagaland chief minister’s proposal to the Centre (government of India) on the creation of Line of Control (LoC) in disputed border areas of Assam and Nagaland should be cancelled till the “Naga ancestral land” were acquired by its own people.
In a press release, NNC said the representative of the Naga people to central Indian government should be aware that unless the demand was fulfilled, Naga political struggle would never end. The council through its MIP secretary H.Chishi said that if the LoC was “much needed” in the border areas, then the same should be consulted with the Naga people and introduce the same in actual border line where the headquarters of Naga Hills were located in 1866. The forest land transferred to the Assam should be brought back before the introduction of the LoC.
NNC has requested the Nagas to stand and voice out the truth so that there would be no regrets in future.
