Peren District Christian Forum (PDFC) at its executive meeting September 3 at Jalukie town had thorough discussion and deliberation on Nagaland Liquor Total Prohibition (NLTP) Act 1989, and unanimously decided to support the Act and requested the government to look into the implementing part rather than revoking the Act.
In a press release, PDCF said that people seemed to be on the opinion of lifting the Act not because it was bad or wrong but mostly due to the failures of effective implementation.
The forum said good governance and good administration of any government was not only about making good laws but rather how realistic, serious and sincere in implementing without any wavering or manipulation in decision but judiciously carry out the law in praxis. The forum further vowed to fully cooperate in the implementing of the Act in the area.
