Aug 14 incident: KVYO closes private firm

Expressing resentment over non-compliance of its summon notice by Keducho Khamo to appear before KVYO with regard to August 14 incident, Kohima Village Youth Organization (KVYO) September 29 closed his private establishment within Kohima town.
Hundred members of KVYO started its convoy from mission compound Kohima and proceed towards assembly secretariat complex to stop the construction work of Khamo, which he was reportedly undertaking contract to build one VIP quarter. Later, KVYO proceed towards BOC Kohima to close his other private establishments.
Meanwhile, in the press release KVYO president Ketounei Kire and general secretary KVYO Lhoulievi Belho stated that KVYO imposed closure of Keducho Khamo private business establishments and contract sites in all Kohima Village ancestral areas w.e.f. September 29 with regard to his failure to appear before KVYO as he was summoned in relation to August 14 incident.
KVYO also stated that any untoward incident that results from non-compliance of this imposition would be the sole responsibility and risk of Keducho Khamo.
On August 14 night four members from Kohima village assaulted one Pelo Letro at para-medical colony and took him near secretariat complex and left him. Relating to this case, Keducho Khamo had allegedly manhandled ASI K. Solo of Kohima village for which KVYO summoned Khamo to clarify on what ground he assaulted a police officer who was on official duty.
