Rubber training institute of rubber board along with regional office, Dimapur organized two-day training on scientific rubber cultivation from September 26 and 27 at Nagaland science centre for the rubber growers of the state.
The training was on rubber cultivation and the subjects covered included nursery practices, planting materials, root trainer technology, clones, planting and upkeep of plantations, crop protection techniques, rubber tapping and processing of latex and quality control in rubber processing.
Altogether, 19 progressive rubber farmers selected from various rubbers growing areas of the state participated in the training.
The participated faculty during the training included director of training institute, Dr. C. Kuruvilla Jacob, deputy director, Dr. Alice John. Others included development officer, V.D. Hari, assistant development officer Rashmi Rekha Majumdar and field officer Anand Lama.
