SKK condemns AR atrocity

All Sumi Students’ Union (SKK) has condemned the October 1 incident where the 29 Assam Rifles personnel have raided and verbally harassed the president and colleagues of Wester Sumi Students’ Union (WSSU) in the residence of the president, NST Colony, Dimapur, without any rhyme or reason.
SKK finance secretary, Pitovi V Aye has questioned the responsible Assam Rifles office in-charge for the reason behind the raid even after identifying themselves. It has demanded clear statement from the 29 Assam Rifles behind the ‘unlawful’ act meted to WSSU president and his colleagues.
Stating that if the Assam Rifles fails to provide genuine and proper reason for the raid, SKK said it would clearly indicate that they are nothing but a gang of ‘irresponsible robbers’ who do not have a sense of humanity.
Further, SKK has appealed the competent authority to bring up the case with the higher ups for the safety and security of the public.
