A two-day Global Leadership Summit (GLS) was hosted at Union Baptist Church here via a videocast Friday which was displayed on a giant screen.
The Global Leadership Summit, which originates from Willow Creek Community Church in South Barrington, Illinois, is beamed live via satellite and to 300 locations in North America in August and is videocast to 350+ cities, 105 countries—translated into 50 languages in late September and early October. GLS features world class speakers, along with live worship, music, and drama created especially for leaders.
GLS seeks to transform Christian leaders around the world with an injection of vision, skill development, and inspiration for the sake of the local church.
Speakers who spoke at the summit included Bill Hybels, founder and senior pastor Willow Creek Community Church, USA; Carly Fiorina, former CEO of Hewlett Packard; chairman of Good 360; Jeffrey Immelt, president and CEO General Electric; Ivan Satyavrata, senior pastor Assembly of God church Kolkata and Tyler Perry filmmaker, actor and philanthropist.
Around 150 participants consisting of church leaders, government officers, public leaders and others attended the daylong programme hosted by the Union Baptist Church. On day-two, the session would start at 9 a.m. and end at 4 p.m.
