Peren District Disaster Management Plan (DDMP) was formally released Saturday at the DPDB meeting by deputy commissioner (DC) and vice chairman DPDB, Peren, Peter Lichamo. According to DIPR report, after releasing the plan Lichamo stated that the plan was prepared on the past experiences and events to deal with various events of any natural or man-made disaster. He requested the district level officers to remain alert to any emergent situation that may arise. ADC (Hqr.) Dr. Kadambari Bhagat who is the nodal officer of DDMP stated that the rhetoric is increasingly shifting from a release centric to a region that is essentially proactive. She further said that a copy will be submitted to NSDMA in the event of any suggestion to improve the plan, the same will be circulated as annexures to the copies distributed to the head of offices.
The DC also notified that the attendance of all the officers and staff in the district is compulsory during the inauguration of the DC’s Office on December 11 at the new site.
He also informed about the inauguration of ADC Headquarter Tening on 1December 13 by home minister, Y. Patton as the chief guest. District vigilance and monitoring committee members for rural development was also announced during the meeting.
Earlier, during the review of the last meeting, the DC informed the board that examination centre at Peren town for both HSLC and HSSLC was already approved by the government. New member, DEO Peren, Irangnimbe was introduced to the members.
The meeting ended with strong message from the chair to all the officers that regularity of attendance in the office will be seen.
