Pre-recruitment coaching underway in Kohima

Hundreds of Naga youth aspiring to join the Army turned up for a 3-day free coaching and guidance class on February 19 at the Directorate of Rajya Sainik Kohima.
Directorate of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement, Brig. KK Roy Choudhury, informed that a major recruitment rally is scheduled from February 24 to March 8 at the IG Stadium, Kohima, for candidates from Nagaland and Manipur.
He said the free coaching and guidance classes is being conducted for Naga youth to facilitate and give them an advantage so that they might be able to take the various levels of examination in the correct perspectives and quality for the exam.
Candidates have to qualify the physical and medical tests to be eligible for the written examination which would be conducted all over India. Choudhury informed that crash course would be imparted from March 2 to 4 to those candidates who qualify for the written exam.
The written exam would include simple General Knowledge, English and Arithmetic of Class VIII standard, he said.
The response of the Naga youth was positive as overwhelming crowd was seen in the Directorate of Rajya Sainik office to get themselves registered for attending the free coaching and guidance class, which got underway on February 19.
