Victims reunite with families

The two victims rescued by the troopers of 29 Assam Rifles from ‘illegal detention’ reportedly by NSCN (IM) from general area in Sitkipasha on February 15 have reunited with their families.
The victims are identified as Tino Konyak (28), resident of Chumukedima, Dimapur, and permanent resident of Mon district, and Imti Sunep Ao (43), resident of Dimapur, were handed over to Diphupar Police Station for their release to their families.  Both individuals alongwith their families have expressed gratitude to Assam Rifles for their safe return. The locals also appreciated the efforts of Assam Rifles for busting illegal Detention Centre of NSCN (IM) and making Dimapur a better and safer place to live in, Assam Rifles statement said.
