March 17, 2015 | by admin

Baptist Theological College (BTC) 23rd parting social was held on March 14 organized by the remaining students in honour of the graduating students.
Executive Secretary of Chakhesang Baptist Church Council (CBCC) Reverend Vezopa Tetseo graced the occasion as the guest speaker, where he challenged the students to fight good fight of faith (1Tim 6:12).  He exhorted the students to hold on the salvation as Paul exhorted Timothy and challenged them to be watchful of their own lives and the doctrines closely for they could be easily influenced by worldly life-styles and false doctrines. He said the church leaders and theological students should live out their faith. Stating that students are taught biblical principles and knowledge in the college, he said they should translate their theological knowledge into their real life situation. By doing that, he said they would be doing practical oriented theology in their daily life and ministry.
He also encouraged them to put on the whole armors of God and uproot social evils facing people today and to preach and teach. However, to do that, he said they must be filled with the Spirit of God so that they might be strengthened, empowered to do the ministry and able to endure difficulties in life.
The programme was chaired by vice president of BTCSA P Manon while lecturer Abeni Patton invoked God’s blessing for the service. Neingute-u Sakhamo spoke on behalf of the remaining students and Khai Lua spoke on behalf of the outgoing students while Chuchule read the word of God.  Altogether, 39 students were honoured with gifts and farewell song. The outgoing students also presented a beautiful song praising God. Rev. Dr. Kowepe Kanuo, Lecturer, pronounced benediction.
