National Service Scheme Cell, Department of Youth Resources and Sports, in collaboration Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development (RGNIYD) Sriperumbudur, Tamil Nadu, has announced to organise a three day “Training of Trainers on Gender Equity” from March 26 to 28 at ATI, Kohima.
Commissioner and Secretary for Youth Resources and Sports, Menukhol John, would grace the inaugural function as the chief guest on March 26 at 10 AM.
The resource persons of the programme would include Youthnet strategist Lezo Putsure and consultant Abokali; Principal of Japfu Christian College Visakhonu Hibo; Secretary Home and Director ATI Lithrongla G Chishi; North East Press Service editor, Oken Jeet Sandham; NU English Department professor Dr. Rosemary Dzuvichu; NJS Chief Judicial Magistrate Mezivolu T Therieh; Advocates V Ashu Theyo and Tonpang I Jamir.
Topics on social construction of gender, gender and work, invisibility of women work, gender and education, gender and health, gender and family, gender and media, gender and human rights, gender sensitive legal measures, gender and violence and role of youth functionaries in promoting gender equality etc. would be covered during the training.
