No peace, no development: Patton

State home minister Y Patton said peaceful atmosphere was needed for any district or society to progress and called upon the people of Shamator area and Yimchungers to maintain peace and tranquility for development.
 He said this while laying the foundation stone of Langa Bridge, Monday at Shamator. Patton also laid foundation for construction of Shamator ADC office building.
Stating that if there was no peace there would not be any development, Patton urged the people of the area to restraint from all anti-social activities and maintain peaceful atmosphere. 
The home minister also said that the state government was willing to do any developmental activities in the district if there was peace and tranquility in the area.
Patton also urged the public to cooperate with law enforcing agencies while asking any individuals or group not to violate the law.
Parliamentary Secretary for CAWD, Economics & Statistics R. Tohanba who accompanied the home minister also called upon the public to maintain peace and cordial relationship with neighbouring tribes. 
The chief guest was also accompanied deputy speaker NLA, Levi Rengma, IGP Nagaland, DIG Tuensang Range, Commandant 3rd NAP, SP Tuensang, additional chief engineer R&B, EE Tuensang amongst other officials.
The programme was chaired by DC Tuensang, Alemjongshi, welcome address was delivered by president Yimchunger GB Union, Lakiumong, invocation by executive secretary YBBA Reverend Z. Thsankiu, special number by S. Wati, Youth Pastor Shamator Town Baptist Church.
Short speeches were also delivered by deputy speaker Er. Levi Rengma, President YWO, Alula Z. Thsanso and Kiozih, President YTC and vote of thanks was proposed by VC Chairman Y. Annar.
