One day training and demonstration programme on “Management of nutrients, pest and disease in rubber plantation and fruit orchard” was organized by Agriculture Technology Management Agency (ATMA) Wokha, Wozhuro-Ralan Block on July 11 at Sankiton community hall.
Resource person of the programme spoke on the importance of timely application of nutrients and also on management of pest and disease to increase the yield of crops and to bring sustainability in long run.
Meanwhile, technical session was conducted by WDT, LRD Wokha Amos Odyuo and demonstration on right use of various agro-chemicals for efficient management in plantation and orchards was also conducted at farmers’ field.
Altogether 33 farmers from Phiro, Shaki and Sankiton Village including SHG’s attended the programme.
Earlier the programme was chaired by ATMA Wozhuro-Ralan block, ATM Loreni Kithan and vote of thanks was delivered by farmers’ friend Mhondamo Tsanglao.
