Revoke DAA & AFSPA: NCSU

Nagaland Contractors and Suppliers Union (NCSU) has appealed to the Government of India to revoke the Disturbed Area Act (DAA) and AFSPA imposed in Nagaland and restore normalcy.
In a press note, NCSU while expressing serious concern urged upon Centre to reconsiders its decision.
It said that the decision was unfortunate when all the Nagaland based NGOs, various political groups and Nagaland Legislators Forum were actively putting its effort to bring in solution to the Naga issue for the past several decades. Stating that the act was nothing but “to torture and harass innocent public”, NCSU said Nagas at this juncture need peace and development not war like a situation.
