NERPAP meetings in Dimapur, Mokokchung

Dimapur district held its 4th and last National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP) on July 18.
On the day, ADC and officiating deputy commissioner (DC) Dimapur Elizabeth Ngully along with Special Observer (SO) for Dimapur and Peren district assigned by Election Commission (EC) to oversee NERPAP exercise Kewekha Mero, assistant election officer Toshi and others visited several polling stations in and around Dimapur district to observe the camps. During camp visit officials interacted with Booth Level Officers (BLO) on effectiveness, data collection and participation of the general public during the conduct of NERPAP camps.
SO and officiating DC also said that BLOs should visit door to door for data collection and authentication of documents for successful implementation of NERPAP to fulfill the objective and ensure clean election.

Mokokchung National Electoral Roll Purification and Authentication Programme (NERPAP) meeting was held on Saturday at Deputy Commissioner (DC) conference hall under the chairmanship of DC and District Election Officer (DEO) Mokokchung, Sushil Kumar Patel, IAS. 
In the meeting, DC Sushil Kumar Patel gave a power point presentation about the status of NERPAP of the District with emphasis on Adhaar linking with Electoral Photo Identity Card (EPIC) showing 38.67% coverage.
Joint Chief Electoral Officer (JCEO) N.Moa Aier dwelt on the various sections of Representation of Peoples Act, 1951 and urged upon all the members for their full co-operation and support in cleansing the Electoral Roll.
Assistant Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO) Rokovituo Khezhie highlighted on the aspects and importance of Systematic Voters Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) in creating and spreading awareness amongst the general public.
Assistant Chief Electoral Officer (ACEO) Awa Lorin highlighted in brief about the verification of possible errors and duplicates in the Electoral Roll and appreciated the efforts of all Officials in the cleansing process.
All members present in the meeting assured of full co- operation in bringing out a clean and error free Electoral Roll.
The meeting ended with a vote of thanks by the deputy commissioner and district election officer, Mokokchuhng. The meeting was atetdned by JCEO, ACEOs, DC&DEO, ERO, AEROs, NGOs and political parties.
