
Expressing concern over the fading values and principles of Christians, parliamentary secretary for soil & water conservation Pukhayi Sumi encouraged students to uphold the principles of a good Christian so as to maintain peace and harmony in the society.
Speaking at the culmination and certificate presentation programme of “Children Summer Music & Folk Dance Crash Course” organized by Indigenous Culture Society Dimapur, Saturday, Pukhayi lamented that in today’s society the good values and principles of Christianity was fading away.
He said that it should be the collective effort of all concern to uphold such qualities and encouraged all to come together to sustain peace in the society.
The parliamentary secretary also lauded the Indigenous Culture Society particularly Dr. Y. Heshito Chishi for imparting values of Christian principles and spreading the importance of “our” rich culture, customs and tradition.
The program was chaired by board of director Vitoho Chophy while ex. MLA & BOD K. Pucho invoked God’s blessing followed by instrumental piece, piano, vocal, guitar, violin & drums were presented by the students.
The chief guest also handed over the certificates to 51 students; vote of thanks was delivered by, Indigenous Culture Society director Dr. Y. Heshito Chishi.
