Farmer Field School (FFS) was launched by Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Mon on August 1, at Langmeing village. FFS was sponsored by the Department of Agriculture, Nagaland, under RKVY. Delivering the keynote address, Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) plant protection Martha Chakruno explained the farmers about the concept and importance of FFS. Meanwhile, SMS agronomy Puchono Kweho, encouraged the farmers to adopt improved methods of farming so as to get better crop yield. Altogether 20 farmers were enrolled from which Changkap Konyak was selected as the farm school teacher. Later, IPM kits were distributed among the trainees.
