NEISSR organizes induction programme for MSW 2nd batch

North East Institute of Social Sciences & Research (NEISSR) organized induction programme for Master of Social Worker (MSW) 2nd batch students, Monday at NEISSR campus.
Chief Operating Officer (Programs), State Rural Livelihood Mission M. Rollan Lotha graced the event as the chief guest.
Emphasizing on distinction between professional social work and traditional charity work, the chief guest urged the students to constantly update their knowledge and be informative on their subject matter.
He challenged them to be at par with other professional social workers whose names were well known across the nation.   
Principal, NEISSR Rev. Dr. C. P. Anto expressed confidence and joy on the number of students coming forward to pursue social work as a career. He said social workers were not just professionals but social doctors who heal the mindset and perceptions of the people towards social problems, taking them along the path to empowerment and growth.
Third year students Thekingpila Sangtam and Lithei Phom shared their experiences with NEISSR.  The programme was attended by 43 new inductees, parents and first batch students.
