Declare contents of peace accord: Ao Senden

Ao Senden, the apex body of the Aos, in a letter to NSCN (I-M) ato kilonser Th. Muivah urged upon the latter to declare the contents of the peace accord to the people at the earliest. The letter signed by Ao Senden president, Imolemba Jamir and general secretary S. Panger stated that appeal has been made “in order to avoid any further negativity and mistrust amongst the people before it (agreement) is adopted to a final settlement for the interest of the Nagas.”
Says, settlement that encompasses Aos must be taken after consultation/approval of Senden
Further, drawing the attention of Muivah for necessary action, it said: “The Ao Senden has been in constant support of the Naga Political issue under your dynamic collective leadership since its inception to bring honorable and acceptable solution. And therefore, decision taken on Naga Political settlement that encompasses the Aos must be taken after consultation and approval of the Ao Senden. As such, the Ao Senden does not endorse any group or civil organizations to take decision on behalf of the Aos.”
Meanwhile, the Senden also congratulated the NSCN (I-M) collective leadership for signing of the Historic Peace Accord with the Government of India to bring an amicable solution on the Naga Political issue.
