With an objective to implement less use of insecticides and pesticides, farmers’ training on Integrated Pest Management (IPM) was held on August 17 at Lizu village under the chairmanship of A.I Hekhuyi. During the programme, resource person Assistant Plant Protection Officer (APPO) Toivi Swu explained on insect pest through visual aid. He encouraged the farmers to control the pest through cultural and biological method without using harmful insecticides and pesticides. Agro Ecological System of Analysis (AESA) was demonstrated during the training. Altogether 35 members participated at the training programme. IPM and rodenticides were also distributed amongst the participants.
