Inaugural and orientation programme of National Service Scheme (NSS) of Kros College was held on August 24 at the college auditorium with state Liaison NSS, youth resources and sports officer Chekrongoi Theyo as the main speaker.
In his speech, Theyo introduced the student members to the NSS workings, aims and objectives. He inspired and motivated the students to be selfless citizens and encouraged them to put others above self.
He also stressed that, in order to be a true NSS worker one should move forward as an example to others people.
The program highlighted and gave a clear understanding of the working of the NSS and moreover heightened its importance for a happier and cleaner society.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Langkong of 5th semester, welcome note was delivered by assistant professor of sociology Metevitso Khazo and vote of thanks was delivered by assistant professor of history Chubatoshi.
