GPRN/NSCN seeks separate solution for Nagas of Nagaland

September 16, 2015 | by admin

GPRN/NSCN (Khole-Kitovi) has sought a separate solution for “only the Nagas of Nagaland”, said a source who is part of the negotiating team holding talks with all the factions barring NSCN (K).
According to IANS report, the source said: “The major problem emerging again for us is that Khole-Kitovi are now demanding a separate solution for only the Nagas of Nagaland. So, the point to be noted is that whether India will be able to give a different solution for the Nagas of different region or not, will have to be seen.”
Asked why the civil society was not trying to persuade GPRN/NSCN Khole-Kitovi to accept the peace accord and work towards its progress, the source said: “No, there is no point. We cannot stop somebody from expressing their views.”
“If we force them to accept, then that won’t be legitimate. In fact, at the end of the day, we have to reason out every differences and reach the solution,” the source said.
“There have been differences even in the past but we have sorted them out. Hopefully, we will sort out this one too,” he said.
Nagaland has many other groups (Naga Political Groups) and the oldest of all, the Naga National Council (NNC).
