Holy Cross Higher Secondary School (HCHSS) Section-D celebrated Parent’s Day on October 16 at Pastoral Centre hall, Dimapur with Bishop of Kohima Rev. Dr. James Thoppil as chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion Bishop lamented that “we” have digressed in human relation and communication though “we” have advanced at a rapid speed in communication network.
Emphasizing on the use of electronic gadgets, Bishop said human being were become strangers to one another even at home, living more in a mechanized world than in a wed of human relationship because of mobiles, TV and other electronic gadgets in the homes.
He also said the gap between children and parents were being widening day by day. Therefore, he urged the parents to spend some time with their children.
Bishop stated that those children who were exposed to TV and electronic games at an early stage seemed to have 40-50 % of memory loss. He requested the parents to create an ambience of cordiality, confidentiality, trust and relaxation for their children.
Tiny tots mesmerized the parents by presenting various items like enactment of Bible passage, choreography, song and vegetable drill, U.K.G. in action, skit, Naga dance, nursery land, magic, color rainbow, couple dance, Hindi dance and tableau.
