Like the Congress, which had suspended its senior members as well as legislators, the state BJP Nagaland unit is also wracked by factionalism within. Similarly, the state BJP has also suspended its general secretary & spokesperson, K. James Vizo for anti-party activities.
BJP sources said James Vizo was suspended from the party “two-three days back”. The state unit president, Dr. M. Chuba Ao was compelled to suspend party’s general secretary & spokesperson, K. James Vizo based on certain complaints, which the party termed it as “anti-party activities”, sources said.
Party sources claimed that Vizo had “reshuffled some state executive members” soon after the State party election was announced.
This was in total contravention of the party’s constitution, the source added. The state BJP unit is to elect or appoint the next state president and for which the process had been going on.
State unit president Dr. M. Chuba could not be contacted.
It may be mentioned that the State BJP is on a massive enrolment drive and re-organizing of the party ahead of its organizational election to be held by year end.
