Promising youth passes away in Bengaluru

Dr. Sentitemsu Imsong, son of T. Imkong of Asangma village under Mokokchung district passed away on October 30 at Bengaluru. According to doctors, late Dr. Sentitemsu died of “severe septic shock”. Late Dr. Sentitemsu (31) did his matriculation from Edith Douglas Higher Secondary School, Mokokchung and continued his studies at Kohima Science College.
He pursued his masters’ degree M.Sc (Physics) from University of Hyderabad. He was also conferred Ph.D by the Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He did his post doctoral studies in Germany for two years and Israel for one year. He recently got the job of assistant professor in IIT Guwahati and was supposed to give his joining report this month when he passed away. The coffin containing the body arrived at his parental home on Sunday night at Alempang ward. The funeral service was held Monday where hundreds of relatives, friends and well wishers attended the service. He leaves behind one younger sister, a younger brother and both his parents.
