Good Shepherd Ministry Kohima celebrated its silver jubilee under the motto “abundant life” at Middle PWD, Friday.
Chief guest Governor P.B. Acharya whose message by read out by additional secretary to governor, Motuo M Sote, Acharya said the ministry has been rendering selfless services like research, training, counselling, outreach to the people in need to live life in its fullness.
He pointed out that Good Shepherd Ministry was not only encouraging spiritual growth, moral guidance, social gathering, etc. but balanced growth as well.
Acharya said training sessions, counselling, etc. help people overcome resistance and provide the framework for lifelong learning, the ability to motivate others, lead decisively, communicate a compelling vision and embrace change.
He further congratulated chief functionary and founder president GSM, Dr. E Renphamo Lotha for his visionary initiative and activities.
Delivering welcome and presidential address, Good Shepherd Ministry president Dr. E Renphamo Lotha highlighted some activities by the ministry over the past years.
He cited some of the activities such as outreach- research, trainings, counselling, holistic developments, holistic education, holistic health, peace mission, political transformation mission, literatures, publication, broadcastings, income generation, entrepreneurship development, capacity building etc.
The president also inaugurated the jubilee memorial hall.
While delivering a brief complimentary speech, chairperson and founding member Good Shepherd Ministry Jonas Yanthan said that Nagaland need lots of zealous missionary to transform the society, which was partly carried out by the ministry.
Good Shepherd Ministry website was launched by director NIT, Dr. Ramachnadran while general secretary FNBA, Dr. VK Nuh released two books titled “Profile and Album of the Good Shepherd Ministry Kohima Nagaland (1990-2015)” and “Wonderful Works of God (volume one)”.
The gathering was enthralled through “a song of praise to God” by Lchumlo Khuvung. The programme started with the lighting of candle by founding member GSM, Nchenthung Lotha, invocation was pronounced by Pastor AGC, Khonbemo Ngullie, vote of thanks was delivered by Nyanbeni Ngullie, while benediction was said by Pastor NLC, Azahto Sema.
