Dr. Longri graces KST 50 yrs celebration

Khar Senso Telongjem (KST), Mangkolemba celebrated its golden jubilee on April 7 at Senden Salang under the theme “Renemshidi” with chairman, DAN & NBRM, Dr. Longrineken as the chief guest.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Longrineken urged the KST to re-equip and uphold its glorious past as envisioned by its founding members. He further spoke on starting a social revolution and urged the people present to adopt work culture for the betterment of the society.  ADC, Mangkolemba, T. Imtiwapang Aier who was the guest of honour, asked the Khar Senso Mangkolemba to take responsibility towards protecting and preserving its flora and fauna for the benefit and survival of present and future generations.
Earlier, Sr. advocate, GHC, Kohima Bench, Kohima C. T. Jamir spoke on the topic “Union- Walking together in harmony with time”.  
Jamir said walking together in harmony with time does not mean walking with human beings alone but also to walk in perfect harmony with nature. He further encouraged them to earn through hard work and continue doing good deeds. The programme was chaired by Sunep T.Walling, short speeches were delivered by chairman, Khar Village Council, president Japukong Union and Changkikong Union, MBA unit.
Jubilee anthem was presented by Khar Student’s Union, Mangkolemba while Khartsü Telongjem Mangkolemba enthralled the crowd with a folk song. Tzüdilong and Kinaren recited a poem while president, KTSM, Supong Walling delivered the welcome address.  Convenor, GJPC, Imjung Longkumer presented the golden jubilee planning committee report and rendered vote of thanks. Nungshilepden Jamie and Kilentula Jamie were the Jubilee recorders. Pastor, MBC, Dr. Akok Amer pronounced the invocation while assocate Pastor, MBC M. Wati said the benediction.
