Reaffirming its stand on the construction of SARDP phase-I project in the state, the Nagaland Contractors’ and Suppliers’ Union (NCSU) has stated that Maytas and Gayatris (JV), which undertook the project and sublet to M/S Ratna, should complete it before taking up new project in Nagaland.
In a press release, the NCSU vice president K.L. Setuo Rutsa and secretary Imsünok Jamir stated that Maytas and Gayatris should not make lame excuse of technical problem since “they have thoroughly ascertained the actual position before taking up the project.”
The union said the company should therefore resume work according to the directive given by the high court and complete the work within stipulated time. Failing which, NCSU cautioned that it would resort to taking its own course of action in the interest of the general public.
