Kohima Police manning Khuzama inter-state check gate while conducting routine checking and frisking of vehicles have intercepted one Manipur bound truck bearing registration number MN-06T/0226 and recovered a total of 260 kgs of contraband ganja worth Rs. 13,00,000 (Rupees thirteen lakhs thirty thousand) at National market and apprehended one persons identified as P. Duzii Gideon (27 yrs), S/o – Punii, Village – Sirong, PO/PS – Tadubi, Dist – Senapati, Manipur.
In a press releases, Sub-Divisional Police Officer (South) & PRO Kohima, NPS Atu Zumvü mentiond that the contraband ganja was neatly packed and was found concealed inside a special compartment of the truck body’s especially designed to transport illegal consignment.
Later apprehendwas taken into police custody and a regular case vide Khuzama P.S Case No. 0022/2016 U/S 20 (b) (ii) (C) NDPS Act has been registered for further investigation.
