Nagaland Contractor and Suppliers Union Wokha Unit has reiterated its full support to Nagaland Contractor and Suppliers Union on awarding contract/supply works without open tender by government departments.
A press note by NCSU Wokha Unit president Solomon and secretary A. Lipon stated that the union has found many irregularities in various departments in awarding contract works by table tender and without inviting open tender.
Reaffirming its earlier resolution, the NCSU Wokha unit has reminded that the concerned department should strictly follow the government order that all contract and supply works were put for open tender and only recognized and valid NCSU members were eligible to get contract works.
NCSU Wokha Unit has reiterated its stand that contract/supply works should not be awarded to any person without producing NCSU ID Cards. NCSU Wokha unit has further stated that it would henceforth check those departments not adhering to government directive and standing order while awarding contracts.
It has further stated that illegal practices should be stopped and proper action would be initiated against the defaulting departments. The unit also warned that any contractor, firm or company without valid identity card of NCSU would be dealt with stern action.
