‘Hindi Diwas’ celebrated in Longleng, Mkg, Punglwa

Hindi teachers and students across the State on Wednesday celebrated “Hindi Diwas” by organizing various programmes.
In Longleng, All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union Longleng unit celebrated Hindi Diwas at EBRC Hall Longleng with SDEO Longleng Temsusenla Jamir, as the chief guest.
While lauding the district Hindi teachers for organizing the Hindi Diwas day, Temsusenla said Hindi language should be encouraged and taught with utmost sincerity in all Schools.
She said Hindi has become one of the important languages where it was largely spoken not only at the national level but even in international platform.
Temsusenla urged the Hindi Teachers of the District to be sincere and take up the responsibility shouldered upon them to shape the life of students.
The chief guest also gave away the prizes to the winners of the 1st Inter School Hindi literary competition held on September 10.
Earlier, the programme was chaired by Bendangnaro Phom, Hindi teacher Government Higher Secondary School Longleng; invocation was said by Gorkha Baptist Church Longleng Pastor T. Andrias Pradhan; welcome address was delivered by ANHTU Longleng Unit president Shumei Antony, Hindi Diwas greetings was delivered by head master Blooming Bud School Longleng, P. Singh; special songs were presented by students of Government Middle School Block and Good Shephered School while vote of thanks was said by ANTHU Longleng Unit vice president, Langpe.
MOKOKCHUNG: All Nagaland Hindi Teachers Union, Mokokchung Unit celebrated “3rd District Level Hindi Diwas” at town hall with adjutant of 44 AR, Maj. Gulshan Kumar as the chief guest and SDEO Mokokchung R Imsusenla as the guest of honour.
Addressing the gathering, Maj. Gulshan Kumar deliberated on the genesis of “Hindi Diwas” and added that Hindi language as constitutionally adopted as Indian National Language, all citizens of the country should be able to speak the language. 
Delivering a short speech, SDEO Mokokchung stated that apart from many other factors, ignorance of proficiency in Hindi language has been a key factor, in leaving Nagas unable to communicate properly with the rest of the country. 
She, therefore, urged on the Hindi teachers in the state to address the issue seriously and propagate Hindi language with sincerity.
In the programme, welcome song was presented by the students of Achila Memorial Rashtrabhasha Training Institute, followed by special songs from Olemnung of Friendship High School, Chuchu Town, Sentizulu, Toshi, a dance routine by students of Children School, Mokokchung and poem recitation from Mount Moria School, Ungma.
ANHTU Mokokchung unit president delivered the welcome address, invocation was said by United Baptist Church Pastor L Meren Longkumer and vote of thanks was delivered by Atsula Yimgchunger. The comperes were Akumla and Lendina. (Correspondent)
 Sainik School Punglwa: Sainik School Punglwa, Nagaland observed “Hindi Diwas” at the school, where a motivational speech was delivered by Cadet Gomkum Dera.
Principal Sainik School Punglwa, Gp Capt Sanjay Gaekwad who gave away the prizes to the winners under various category stated that Hindi as a language should be nurtured and cherished in everyday conversation. 
He added that Hindi apart from being an official language is also a language that keeps the country united despite its diverse culture and one must take pride in conversing in Hindi.  
Gaekwad complemented the cadets for winning prizes in various categories such as Hindi quiz, essay writing and debate conducted earlier from September 1 to 7, which was a part of Hindi Week in connection with Hindi Divas. 
In each of the event, cadets of the six houses competed for the top notch.  Essay competition was conducted for cadets of class VI and VII on the topic, ‘Problems of Population’. Quiz and debate competition was conducted for the cadets of class IX and X wherein the cadets from the six mother houses participated. The event had culminated with a debate on the topic, ‘India America relation is important for Regional Balance in South East Asia’. After a very enthusiastic and enthralling competition, Patkai house emerged as the champion of the Hindi Week competition.
