Act of Kindness, the organizers of Magnum Opus, the music and art festival, scheduled to be held on October 24 and 25 has invited writers for a poetry writing competition to be held during the festival.
The competition will be divided in two categories which are Class 8-12 and college (and above).
Interested individuals should follow some simple rules: Poetry should be original, typed in A4 size paper and a participant can submit maximum 2 poems.
Participants should reach the venue along with their poem(s) on October 24 by 8:45 a.m. at the venue, Stone Garden, NEZCC Complex, Diphupar, Dimapur.
Slam poetry competition will be and open category where anyone can participate. A panel of judges will handle all the categories.
Schools and colleges may send as many participants as they wish.
Responsive poetry is open for all, it’s not a competition but a conglomeration of thoughts where a person will come up with two lines and the next person will add two lines which will continue until an organised structure of a poem is created.
Poetry reading and sharing of poems for interested participants will also be held.
Besides the competition, interested individuals can both display or sell their poems for which a stall will be provided by the organizers.
