Nagaland Government Higher Secondary School Employees Association (NGHSSEA) conducted its general conference on October 11 at GHSS Dimapur.
Exhorting the officers, additional director of School Education (HoD) Wonthungo Tsopoe challenged the members to work hard and extend the best of service to the society as education was the backbone of every society.
Tsopoe regretted that positive attitude of service was disappearing as most of the teachers lobby for comfortable posting at Kohima or Dimapur and urged the members to willingly serve where they were posted and to leave behind strong legacy wherever they go as sacrifice and service are the two fundamental traits of teaching profession.
Further, he gave a strong call to the members to resist against the practice of proxy and absenteeism. DDEO Dimapur, R. Amongla Jamir and joint mission director RMSA Dr. Kevizakie Rio shared their experiences and challenged the members to work hard for successful delivery of quality education in the state.
The programme was led by Limawabang Ao while L. Toshimenla Imchen invoked God’s blessings.
