ENCSU extends support to ‘clean election’

Eastern Nagaland College Students’ Union (ENCSU) has strongly extended support to the “clean election” campaign for the forthcoming election. 
A press note by ENCSU president, M. Longre Chang and general secretary, Wangnei C. Jessuhu appealed all the students’ community and responsible citizens to uphold voting rights to the right candidate and that students should practice a very keen manner for clean and fair election and must stimulate and exercise the wisdom of standard for peace and clean election in the society. 
ENCSU appealed college students to be superior by leading families, friends and localities into clean election practice and urged voters of Nagaland to skip from being money-minded but be free from corruption and to exercise their franchise without fear. It also reminded the candidates to understand the value of clean, free and fair, saying that the people trusting and believing elect them to be leaders so as to lead the society in the right direction.
Further, ENCSU requested the party members and candidates to maintain decorum while delivering public speeches from hammering and insulting one another during the campaigns and rather encourage electorates to vote for the right candidates of their choice.
The union expressed hope that all franchises in the state will stand for clean election to bring progressive changes in the society and that the new government will be responsive and bring peace and harmony.
