Nagaland Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan Teachers Association (NSSATA) Tuensang unit has strongly urged the state government and Department of School Education (DoSE) to release the five months pending salaries before October 22, 2016.
In a press release, NSSATA president C. Tochi Chang and executive member Selongkyu Sangtam stated that SSA teachers also need salaries for survival like all other employees and that non- payment of salaries has made lives of teachers miserable. The association also requested all VEC, WEC, NSF, ENSF, CANSSEA and student bodies to support their cause-rights of SSA teachers. NSSATA further assured full support towards the resolutions adopted at NSSATA meeting on October 10.
