‘Bookworm Festival’ at APO hall from Nov 29

The second ‘Bookworm Festival’ would begin on Tuesday November 29 at the APO hall, Kohima town. The seven-day festival will feature a host of literary events such as Book launches, Author readings, Storytelling, Children’s activities, Conversations with writers, and open microphone performances.
After the successful first Bookworm Festival in April-May 2016, the festival is back on popular demand. The objective of the festival is to bring literature to the people, giving space to young and aspiring writers, supporting and promoting local writers, encouraging the habit of reading and love for literature in young readers, giving children a literary experience and dedicating a whole afternoon to them, making space for lovers of literature, and to showcase our local businesses.
It also aims to be an inclusive festival where no entry fee is charged and all the literary events are free. The partners of the Festival are Barkweaver Publications, Crossword, De Oriental Hotel, and Little Niceties, and the Department of Tourism.
