Consumer Society has informed citizens of Dimapur that as per the directives of the Central government, every customer is entitled to take out Rs. 24000 per week from their bank accounts. However, CSPBED president Khekivi Z Wotsa said if any of the banks fail to do so, the aggrieved customer may contact the Consumer Society office located at Purana Bazaar for necessary action. At the same time, CSPBED has asked all banks not to pay Rs. 24000 against saving banks account more than once. It has also appealed to the Dimapur Chamber of Commerce “to give proper direction to the concern business establishment to accept the demonetized notes of Rs. 500 and Rs. 1000 from public”.
