LH asks Lotha MLAs to resign

February 4, 2017 | by admin

Lotha Hoho (LH) on Friday demanded all Lotha legislators to step down from the present NPF-led Democratic Alliance of Nagaland  government headed by chief minister T.R Zeliang.
It may be mentioned that the Ao Senden and the Angami Public Organization had also demanded their respective legislators to resign.
LH in a statement issued by its chairman Mhao Humtsoe and general secretary Er. Mhondamo Ovung said when legislators say that they have been elected by the people, they should also not forget that they have been elected for the people’s welfare and not to torture the people.
Therefore, LH said the electorate had the right to ask them to step down.
LH also questioned the chief minister as to why the state government officials were being made as scapegoats, while the elected members were the ones who sit behind and give out orders to the government servants.
Lotha Hoho reminded the Zeliang that the government officials involved in the election process like the SEC, administration and police etc. were just carrying out their assigned duties.
