Many civil society organisations have expressed pain and sorrow at the demise of Dr. Ashit Baran Choudhury who passed away on February 23 due to cardiac arrest.
DB: Dimapur Bongs has expressed shock at the untimely demise of Dr. A. B. Choudhary, a prominent doctor and a social worker.
Stating that his demise was a great loss, Dimapur Bongs prayed that God grant him eternal rest and his bereaved family the strength to bear the great pain.
PYA: Progressive Youth Association (PYA) also expressed sadness over the demise of its founder Dr. A.B. Choudhary.
Progressive Youth Association in a condolence note stated that his demise was not only a great loss for the people but also for the PYA family.
DBSU: Dimapur Bengali Students’ Union (DBSU) also condoled the death of Dr. A.B. Choudhary.
Describing him as a great person the union stated that his contributions would always be remembered.
DBS: Dimapur Bangali Samaj (DBS) has also expressed shock over the untimely demise of Dr. A.B. Choudhary popularly known as “Shibu Da.”
The Samaj whole conveying its deepest condolence to the bereaved family expressed that his demise had caused a vacuum and irreparable loss to community which would be difficult to fill.
IMA &NEDS Dmu: Indian Medical Association (IMA) Dimapur branch and NEDS has mourned the demise of late Dr. AB Choudhury who was the president of IMA, Nagaland.
In a condolence message, IMA &NEDS said they have lost a great leader and guide of medical fraternity. It has conveyed condolence to the bereaved family and prayed for the departed soul to rest in peace.
Meanwhile, IMA Dimapur branch has expressed gratitude to its members, GPA and Dimapur dental practitioners association for closing their clinics and establishment on February 24, as mark of respect to late Dr. A.B. Choudhury.
